You asked for more space to spread out and we listened. Meet your new behind-the-scenes bestie: a prep kitchen! This is the extra area built for chopping, styling, and staging while your camera stays rolling in the main studio. It’s stocked, photo-ready, and included in every rental. Because great shots need great prep (and a little breathing room).
This production-ready, secondary kitchen is designed for food stylists, chefs, and content teams. Adding flexibility and flow to every production and supporting prep, plating, and styling keeps the main shooting area wide open for the photography and videography teams to capture the culinary creations. The prep kitchen is included in your studio rental, along with the Dynamic Kitchen, prop and surface libraries, grip, furniture, gated parking, private bathrooms, rollup door with ground-level access and much more. Lighting add-ons are available for rent.
We created this prep kitchen after watching our clients use the space and decided it could be better. Picture it:
- The Dynamic Kitchen (which is still fully-functional and has the oven!) can be used as just a set, with changeable elements to customize every shoot, and the prep kitchen can be used for producing the food and beverage creations to be shot
- One food stylist crew for the food photographer can cook and bake in the Dynamic Kitchen and roll the dishes and beverages to the set -AND- one food stylist crew for the videographer can cook in the prep kitchen and roll the dishes and beverages to the set, all working in harmony and not stepping on each other's toes
- The prep kitchen can be the go-to kitchen with easy access to the shooting space
- Both kitchens can be used to shoot in!
The prep kitchen is fully-stocked and only shares a few things with the Dynamic Kitchen (as noted):
- Dynamic fridge - can be all fridge or a combo of fridge/freezer
